New Delhi, Oct 5 (IANS): Reigning champions of the Sheru Classic Professional Bodybuilding Championship Phil Heath and Nicole Wilkins are confident that they will defend their respective titles in the tournaments second edition here Saturday.

Heath, who last week won professional bodybuilding’s most prestigious title Mr. Olympia, said: “Defending the title this year will be double fun. Despite winning Mr. Olympia, I am not taking this championship lightly. I flew all the way from Las Vegas and am quite serious about winning this.”

Heath won the men’s pro bodybuilding title at Sheru Classic last year in Mumbai.

Meanwhile, the defending women’s pro figure champion Nicole Wilkins will be under pressure after losing her Figure Olympia title to former winner Erin Stern last Sunday.

Figure Olympia is the female version of Mr. Olympia.

“Erin brings out the best in me and I will try my best to retain my title. I also want my Figure Olympia title back next year so all this is in next year’s preparation,” Wilkins told IANS post a press conference at the NSIC Exhibition Complex.

Sheru Classic has the world’s third largest prize money ($210,000) in professional bodybuilding championship with the inaugural edition held in Mumbai last year. It is also Asia’s only professional championship.

The second edition of the championship will be held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium Saturday.
