Boxing fans around the world are waiting once again, waiting to hear whether or not Floyd Mayweather (47-0, 26 KO) and Manny Pacquiao (57-5-2, 38 KO) will finally face-off inside a boxing ring. Fans have been clamoring for this fight for years now. Mayweather and Pacquiao are arguably two of the greatest fighters to ever step inside a boxing ring, and they are without a doubt the best fighters of this generation.
This fight needs to happen, because if it doesn’t there will always be an asterisk next too their careers.
Fans have been hearing two very different stories from both Mayweather and Pacquiao’s respective camps in the past few weeks. Pacquiao’s side has said that they have agreed to all of Mayweather’s terms, and Floyd’s side is saying that no talks, or negotiations have even taken place. Fight fans from around the world are waiting for the word that the fight is on, but many fans no longer want to wait and wonder. Everyone wants these two men to find a way to make this fight happen, and until then any other fight will be unacceptable.
What if?
There has always been predictions on who would win the fight, and why. But at this juncture in their careers Floyd Mayweather is easily the better fighter. If the fight were to happen Floyd Mayweather would pick Manny Pacquiao apart.
Mayweather is the better boxer of the two, but Pacquiao is the one with the power. Pacquiao is going to have to do something no one has ever really been able to do, and that’s break through Mayweather’s defense, that is his only chance of winning.
Mayweather never lets anyone get near him, as he is constantly moving. Mayweather probably has the best footwork in boxing, his ability to create angles always has him in position to land a punch.
The biggest factor, and the key too Mayweather’s victory will be his straight right hand. Now Manny Pacquiao is not your average southpaw, but most southpaws are susceptible to the straight right hand. If Floyd Mayweather is able to find his range early on, and if he is able to create angles to land the straight right, the fight will be all but over.
Floyd Mayweather should, and probably will beat Manny Pacquiao with a unanimous decision victory, but in order to do that they both need to agree to fight each other.

Mayweather vs Pacquiao needs to happen, both for the fans and the sport. Fans will not accept any other fight from either man unless it is Mayweather vs Pacquiao.
Mayweather is scheduled to fight on May 2nd, and the only name fans want to hear next to Mayweather’s name is Pacquiao.
