“Take catches and win matches.”

How many times have we heard that statement from MS Dhoni? Well, the saying is well adopted by the Chennai Super Kings players as well.

R Ashwin claims that his team was not too disturbed by the loss against Kings XI Punjab in their first game in this season of the IPL. After all, losing is a part and parcel of any game.

According to Ashwin, his team needs to improve in terms of taking catches before they face Delhi in their second game. “We dropped a couple of catches and that’s one aspect we need to fix very soon,” Ashwin said.

Ashwin, like a loyal team member exhibited confidence in his team. This right arm off break bowler is of the belief that his team will gain momentum as the tournament proceeds.

“This is not the first time that we have lost the first match of the tournament,” Ashwin said. “We generally start off slowly and then catch up momentum going into the tournament. So, there is nothing to worry about.”
