BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya's condition now stable

Dalmiya took over BCCI presidency in March

After suffering a major heart attack, BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya underwent an angiography at the BM Birla hospital late Thursday night. According to sources, his condition is currently stable, after undergoing the process yesterday. He is currently admitted in the CCU ward of the hospital.

A source within the hospital stated, that they were unable to conduct a surgery on him, due to his condition. He stated, “We conducted a primary stenting and will take a call on the surgery, when his condition betters. However, it has become more stable as compared to yesterday.” After assessing his status, Dalmiya was taken to the Cath lab, where an angiography was conducted at the hospital, during which abnoramlities within the tissues of the left anterior were observed.

Angiography is an exam, which attempts to examine the arteries from a catheter inserted inside the blood vessels, to determine the amount of blockage.

The 75-year old is currently under a systematic medication protocol in the coronary critical unit. Our source also stated that,”he suffered non-invasive thrombus aspiration intervention, with significant amount of residue in the capillary bed.” In layman terms, he suffered several blood clots in the region.

However, this has squashed rumours over the fact that Dalmiya underwent surgery last night. A senior CAB official had informed that, doctors detected a blockage in the heart and Dalmiya had undergone surgery.

The BCCI Chief was admitted to the hospital, after complaining about experience long bouts of chest pain yesterday.
