There is suddenly much ado regarding coaches in the world of cricket.

After Sri Lanka, the Kiwis are left to hunt for a new batting coach as Bob Carter has decided to leave and take up a different role with New Zealand cricket. He had remained as an assistant coach since August 2012. He will assume the role of a coach for the under 19 side along with New Zealand ‘A’ team which will tour to England in the coming June.

“Over the past 20 months I have enjoyed working with the players and support staff to mould a Black Caps side which is capable of beating the top teams in world cricket,” Carter said.

“The team can move forward with confidence towards the ICC 2015 World Cup. I am very excited to take up this new position and look forward to helping the next group of players make the right preparation for the jump to international cricket,” 53 year old, determined Carter said.

NZC is in need of a new coach before their tour to West Indies in June.
