#8 Azhar (2016)
As the title says, Azhar was a movie based the life of India’s former captain Mohammad Azharuddin. The film follows the match fixing controversies which he was involved in and his fight for innocence. Azhar was accused of match fixing in the year 2000 with a London-based bookie. The scandal led to him being banned for life by the BCCI. After a successful fight for innocence, Azhar was cleared of all charges in the year 2012.
The movie received a lukewarm response from the audience and fans expected a lot more from it.
