As Team India takes on the world, some of my friends in the capital city struck up with an idea to give a battle cry for the Indian team. “Buck Up India” is a tribute to the efforts the Men in Blue put in and an anthem that can unite the cricket fans of the country. It already has close to 7000 hits in YouTube.
This idea came to their minds on realisation that when the World Cup started, there was no anthem being played around to mobilise the masses and boost up the confidence of the team. This video shoot, including the song’s lyrics and composition, was completed in just ten calendar days. The team wanted to release it earlier, but due to promotional advantages, they decided to bring on board ‘Circle of Cricket’ and ‘Kreative Kkonnect’ and release it a day before the India-South Africa Game.
