England announce squad for winter Ashes down under

England would visit Australia for winter Ashes down under series during November, December. They would play 3 practice matches against West Australia eleven, Australia A and New South Wales eleven and five Test matches. Australia would be desperate to bounce back in this series, after they faced thrashing defeat 1-3 against England in this summer Ashes.

The squad: Alastair Cook, Matt Prior, James Anderson, Johnny Bairstow, Gary Ballance, Ian Bell, Stuart Broad, Michael Carberry, Steven Finn, Monty Panesar, Kevin Pietersen, Boyd Rankin, Joe Root, Ben Stokes, Graeme Swann, Chris Tremlett, Jonathan Trott.

Tim Bresnan, Graham Onions, Nick Compton are the three casualties, although ECB had mentioned that Bresnan, who is injured, might make a comeback.
