The role of a coach in any sport is vital. Paul Farbrace’s role is no different. It has hardly been 5 months since he started his coaching career with the Sri Lankan national cricket team, with Farbrace playing a crucial role in helping Sri Lanka win the World Twenty20 just last month.

Paul Farbrace is wanted by the ECB to assist Peter Moores as part of their dream team at the helm of the English cricket team. Sri Lanka Cricket, however is not ready to accept the request proposed by ECB as this would violate their deal with Farbrace who has 18 months left on his contract. Both, Farbrace and Moores are former wicketkeepers for England.

SLC is surprised and dissatisfied with the rumurs floating around of Farbrace expecting to work for England rather than Sri Lanka when the teams meet next month.
