New Zealand put in another comprehensive performance to make it to the semi-finals of the World T20

In a match that Pakistan had to win to stay alive in the tournament, a new-look New Zealand dominated Pakistan to win their third match on the trot and pretty much have one foot in the semi-finals.

Martin Guptill's excellent knock of 80 off 48 balls helped the Kiwis post a challenging total of 180 on board. Guptill's partnership with captain Kane Williamson was key to New Zealand dominating right from the start and setting the tone for a win.

Pakistan got off to a flying start, thanks to Sharjeel Khan's quickfire 47. However, once Sharjeel departed none of the other batsmen were able to score boundaries at ease and Pakistan fell short by 22 runs, thus making things difficult for them to reach the next stage of the tournament.
