South Africa's swashbuckling batsman David Miller on Friday said the World Twenty20 will definitely see a lot of records being broken.

The 27-day tournament will get underway in Nagpur on March 15 and will be played at seven venues across India with Eden Gardens in Kolkata scheduled to host the final on April 3.

India, Pakistan, New Zealand and Australia are clubbed in Group 2 while South Africa, England, the West Indies and Sri Lanka are in Group 1.

"Definitely, this World T20 will see lot of records being smashed and new ones coming up. With the Indian Premier League (IPL), Caribbean Premier League (CPL) and Big Bash League (BBL), lot of shortest format of experience have come up and that will help in breaking a lot of records," Miller said here ahead of their World Twenty20 warm-up match against India at the Wankhede Stadium on Saturday.

South Africa come into the tournament after a 1-2 loss against Australia in a Twenty20 International series but the left-handed batsman believes that the series against the reigning 50-over World Cup winners has prepared them for the World T20.

"Series against Australia was a good one for us. We have done and played some good cricket for the past one year. We just have to stick to our game plan, keep things simple in the competition and hopefully we will come out victorious," the 26-year-old said.
