India achieve highest successful run chase against South Africa in T20Is

India created a record by successfully chasing down the highest total against South Africa by any team in a T20I.

The Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium witnessed a trumping win for team India against South Africa in the 2nd semi-final. India will meet Sri Lanka in the final on 6th April 2014.

South Africa won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 172 but India waded through the pressure and put on an amazing chase with the help of an unbeaten 72 from Virat Kohli and thus recorded the highest successful run chase against South Africa by any team in T20Is.

The previous highest successful run chase against South Africa in T20Is was by New Zealand, when they chased down 169 runs on 23rd December 2012 with Martin Guptill scoring a brilliant hundred.
