India regain top position in ICC ODI rankings

Following the two consecutive wins against England and Australia’s shock defeat to Zimbabwe, Indian cricket team has regained its top spot in the ICC rankings table for the One Day International teams.

South Africa is at the second spot, while Sri Lanka is placed at number 3. The Australians suffered a big drop in their ranking, falling to number 4 position as a result of the twin losses in the ongoing triangular series involving South Africa. Zimbabwe, on the other hand, did not improve their ranking but gained 3 rating points. This reduced the gap between the minnows Bangladesh and the African nation to 11 rating points.

India has 2 more one-dayers to play against England, while Australia, South Africa and Zimbabwe clash in the remaining three matches of the tri-series.
