In an action packed day, India completely dominated England and now require another 4 wickets before England score 50 runs to win the 4th Test at Mumbai and seal the series. Coming out to bat with 451 runs on the board and only 3 wickets in hand, captain Virat Kohli and Jayant Yadav took the attack to the English bowlers and completely decimated them in the first session.

Shortly after that, Ravindra Jadeja joined in the action by dismissing Alastair Cook and Moeen Ali in quick succession. Joe Root and Johny Bairstow led the revival for the Englishmen, but Root was unable to capitalise on the opportunity as he fell for 77. England finally ended the day with 182 runs on the board with the loss of 6 wickets. Ashwin and Jadeja picked up two wickets each while Jayant Yadav picked up the wicket of Root.
