The BCCI has released the finalised dates and venues for the West Indies tour of India in the month of October and November. The Carribean nation will be touring India to play in 3 Tests, 5 ODIs and a one-off T20 international.
The teams will be competing in the limited over formats before moving on to the longer version.
The first ODI of the tour is scheduled for Kochi on October 8. Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men will be seen in action in Vishakapatnam, Cuttack and Kolkata before moving on to Dharamsala for the final one-day international. As informed earlier, the Feroz Shah Kotla at Delhi will host its first ever T20 international on October 22.
Denesh Ramdin, who lost his first Test series as skipper against New Zealand at home will be hoping for an improved showing against the Asian giants in the Test matches. Despite, India is not performing to their capabilities in England in the ongoing Test series, Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s men are always a force to watch out for at home.
The first of the three Tests is about to be played from the 30th of October at Hyderabad. The final Test will be played at Ahmedabad after the 2nd fixture in Bangalore. The last time West Indies toured India, they lost the 2-match Test series by 2-0 margin, marking Sachin Tendulkar’s farewell and also the following ODIs by 2-1.
