Instinct of being aggressive as a captain will remain: Virat Kohli

India's Test team skipper Virat Kohli says he can learn many things from his former captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Kohli, who is seen as an aggressive captain is keen on improving his on-field decision-making.

"There is no point giving away what you are thinking to the opposition, who can gain an unnecessary advantage. I understand that. One of the keys to being a good captain is not letting your emotions come onto your face when you are leading the side in the field. That is one of the most important things, which I want to improve on," Kohli was quoted as saying by Mid-Day news.

After MS Dhoni announced his retirement in the mid-way of the Test series in Australia, Kohli was declare the new Test captain. His attacking decision to go for the win in the first Test and not save it (where India eventually lost) was criticised a lot in the cricketing World. He insisted that he still hold his ground and won’t change his aggressive attitude for anybody.

"I will never change myself for anyone or because anyone wants me to change. It is just these small things that I need to improve on, but that instinct of being aggressive as a captain will remain.”

Kohli is the India’s most successful ODI player in recent 5 years with 6537 runs in just 158 matches with the fantastic average of 51.47. Kohli will be seen captaining India in the upcoming series against Bangladesh with whom India is scheduled to play one Test match.
