Chennai Super Kings’ matches against Royal Challengers Bangalore and Sun Risers Hyderabad which were scheduled to be played in Chennai, now has been shifted out of the M. A. Chidambaram Stadium and will be played at the JSCA Stadium in Ranchi, announced the team’s official twitter handle.

Chennai were scheduled to play Bangalore on May 18, followed by their tie against Hyderabad on May 22 at Chepauk, however, owing to a dispute between the construction of three stands and a gymnasium in the stadium, the matches have now been shifted to Ranchi, the home of skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Apart from these matches, a Qualifier on May 27 and an Eliminator on May 28 could also be shifted to another city.

It was announced yesterday that all the home matches will be shifted out of Chennai, as the Tamil Nadu Municipal Corporation are yet to give the No Objection Certificate to the new construction, which according to the corporation, was unlawfully constructed.
