Sunrisers Hyderabad have had an up and down season so far with four victories and three losses. However, captain David Warner is not too worried about his team’s position and also hinted at Yuvraj Singh’s availability for their next contest against Gujarat Lions.

Speaking to media personnel ahead of the match, Warner affirmed that the five-day break had provided an opportunity for the players to refresh themselves. The 29-year old enthused, “For us, it’s about making sure that mentally we are ok, we are not exhausting ourselves.”

He added, “The guys had a little bit of training session yesterday. The guys bonded very well at resorts, some went for go-karting. The guys had rest during the last couple of days and everyone is fresh and ready to go.”

Reflecting on the team’s performances, Warner felt, “We won a couple, we lost a couple. We are coming out and putting up good performances. It’s going to be challenging for the guys but the team is in a good frame of mind. For us, it’s about winning. If we keep winning, we are going to make it to the finals. We don’t have to worry about what other teams do.”

When it came to captaincy, the Australian revealed that he was very communicative with his players. Warner claimed, “My life becomes easy when the guys are doing their job. If I feel something is not in place, I talk to the players. My doors are always open to the players.”

Wary about the powerful batting lineup of Gujarat, he noted, “We have to contain them early. Whether we bat or ball first, it’s all about first six overs and early wickets. For us as a batting unit, it is important not to lose too many wickets and for our bowlers it is important to get as many wickets as they can.”

The left-hander was also hopeful on senior member Yuvraj‘s comeback from injury. On the possibility of the flamboyant batsman's return, the skipper was guarded in his response. Warner quipped, “I think so.”
