A tight clash is on the cards as Delhi Daredevils take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in the final match of VIVO IPL 2016 league stage at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Both teams have won 7 matches each this season out of the 13 they have played.

However, RCB are currently among the top four teams due to an exceedingly high net run-rate while DD are trailing in the bottom half of the table. Sunday's match is a must-win game for the two teams as their progression to the playoffs depends on it.

Bangalore have a slight advantage in the match as their batting is in rampaging form and the bowlers have also started to come good. Delhi, on the other hand, have been slightly inconsistent but will rely on their youngsters to produce the goods.

Let's take a look at the team which may play for Delhi Daredevils:

Batting

South African wicket-keeper batsman Quinton de Kock has been DD's highest run-scorer this season with 385 runs under his belt and also was the first centurion in the tournament. Karun Nair has been highly impressive and has scored 346 runs from 11 innings. The youngster played a match-winning knock of 83 not out in Delhi's victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in their previous game.

Sanju Samson has done pretty well with 274 runs whereas JP Duminy has batted decently enough. Eighteen-year-old Rishabh Pant has been the surprise package for the Daredevils with 197 runs from 9 innings. Shreyas Iyer has been the only batsman to have underperformed for Delhi so far in the tournament.

All-rounders

Chris Morris has played the all-rounder role very successfully for Delhi Daredevils this year. The lanky South African has produced some explosive batting in the lower order with 168 runs at a strike rate of just under 187 and has been among his team's top bowlers. Carlos Brathwaite has also been quite decent with 82 runs and 6 wickets in the 7 games he has played.

Bowling

Amit Mishra has been at his best this season for Delhi and claimed 13 wickets from as many matches with best figures of 4 for 11. Morris has been brilliant, too, with 12 wickets in his kitty and an enviable economy rate of under 7 per over. Skipper Zaheer Khan has also managed to pick 9 wickets in the 2016 IPL to go with his impressive captaincy.

Leg-spinner Imran Tahir has played only 4 matches so far and claimed 5 wickets while left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem has managed to get 2 wickets. Fast bowler Mohammed Shami has not performed well enough this year as he has taken just 5 wickets and has conceded runs at a high economy rate of 9.69.

Probable Playing XI

Quinton de Kock (wk), Rishabh Pant, Sanju Samson, Karun Nair, JP Duminy, Carlos Brathwaite, Chris Morris, Pawan Negi, Amit Mishra, Jayant Yadav, Zaheer Khan.

Virat Kohli
Virat Kohli will be looking to push his team into the playoffs

Here's the likely team which may play for Royal Challengers Bangalore:

Batting

RCB skipper Virat Kohli has easily been the best batsman in the 2016 IPL with a record-shattering performance. Kohli has an enormous tally of 865 runs, the most in an IPL season ever, and it includes a staggering 4 centuries, another IPL record. AB de Villiers has also been in devastating form with 597 runs so far at an average of 54.27 and a tremendous strike rate of more than 172.

While Kohli and De Villiers have hogged the limelight, KL Rahul has quietly gone about his business scoring 348 runs in just 9 innings at a terrific average of 58. Chris Gayle has shown glimpses of his return to form in Bangalore's last two matches with scores of 49 and 73. Sachin Baby has also done a decent job in the 4 innings that he has played with 101 runs at a strike rate of over 150.

All-rounders

Shane Watson has been the most successful all-rounder for Royal Challengers Bangalore this year with more than 150 runs and a lot of wickets. Stuart Binny has not had many opportunities with the bat and has not created much of an impression with the ball too. Other all-rounders in the squad have not received too many chances to play.

Bowling

Leggie Yuzvendra Chahal has recovered from an average start to become RCB's leading wicket-taker in the 2016 IPL with 16 wickets and an economy rate of under 8. Watson has also picked up 16 wickets in the tournament and has been Bangalore's most consistent performer with the ball this season.

Pacer Sreenath Aravind has also improved as the tournament has progressed and currently has 8 wickets. Varun Aaron, on the other hand, has been struggling so far with just 2 wickets in 8 matches and a high economy rate of 9.59. England pacer Chris Jordan has been decent with 5 wickets in the season.

Probable Playing XI

Chris Gayle, Virat Kohli (c), AB de Villiers, KL Rahul (wk), Shane Watson, Sachin Baby, Stuart Binny, Chris Jordan, Sreenath Aravind, Varun Aaron, Yuzvendra Chahal.
