Sunrisers Hyderabad and Kolkata Knight Riders will face off in the Eliminator of the VIVO IPL 2016 playoff stage at the Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium in Delhi on Wednesday. It is a do-or-die situation for both teams as whoever loses will crash out of the tournament. However, the winning side will also be only partially happy as they would need to play another game in order to make it to the final.

KKR enjoy a clear advantage over SRH as they have won both the fixtures between the two teams so far, including the match that helped them qualify for the playoffs. The Sunrisers, meanwhile, have been among the best teams in the ongoing season and were one of the first 2 teams to reach the playoff stage.

Here's a glimpse at the team which may play for Sunrisers Hyderabad:

Batting

The Hyderabad batting in the 2016 IPL has depended heavily on the shoulders of skipper David Warner. The Aussie left-hander has been in deadly form this season and scored 658 runs at an average of just under 55 with as many as 7 fifties. Shikhar Dhawan has also been in good touch at the top of the order with a tally of 463 runs in 14 innings so far.

Yuvraj Singh has played a few good cameos in the 7 innings that he has played; however, he has not been able to make a major impact in the tournament. Other international stars like Kane Williamson and Eoin Morgan have played way below their ability and have found the going difficult. Wicket-keeper batsman Naman Ojha, too, has not been in form and averages a paltry 16 in this year's IPL.

All-rounders

SRH have not had much to show in terms of all-round performances this season. Moises Henriques has been their best bet with 136 runs in 14 innings and a number of wickets with the ball. Deepak Hooda has not done well at all as a batsman but has been decent on the few occasion that he has bowled. Yuvraj's all-round abilities have not been utilised to the fullest by skipper Warner till now.

Bowling

The pace bowlers have been in sensational form for the Sunrisers in the ongoing IPL and have played a huge role in their team's success this season. Bhuvneshwar Kumar has shown what he is capable of with 18 wickets in 14 matches to stand out as SRH's leading wicket-taker. Talented Bangladeshi pacer Mustafizur Rahman, meanwhile, has taken the IPL by storm with his incredible variations and great control, managing to claim 16 wickets in the process.

Young Indian bowler Barinder Sran has also provided great support to the Kumar-Rahman duo with a tally of 12 wickets thus far. Veteran pace bowler Ashish Nehra had been doing well as he took 9 wickets from 8 matches but he was unfortunately ruled out of the tournament due to a knee injury. The spinners haven't got many chances to play and have struggled whenever they have been brought in by David Warner.

Probable Playing XI

David Warner (c), Shikhar Dhawan, Deepak Hooda, Yuvraj Singh, Eoin Morgan, Naman Ojha (wk), Moises Henriques, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Barinder Sran, Mustafizur Rahman, Abhimanyu Mithun.

Yusuf Pathan KKR
Yusuf Pathan has been the man-in-form for KKR

Here's the likely team which may turn up for Kolkata Knight Riders:

Batting

Skipper Gautam Gambhir has been the most successful batsman for KKR this year with 473 runs in 14 innings, including 5 half-centuries. However, the real impact player in their batting line-up has been the hard-hitting Yusuf Pathan. Pathan has been incredibly impressive and has a tally of 359 runs at a phenomenal average of just under 90 and a strike rate of slightly over 148.

Robin Uthappa has been good, too, with 383 runs from 14 innings till now and 3 fifties to show for his efforts. Manish Pandey has also looked in great touch in the 10 innings he has played, scoring 212 runs at a very decent strike rate of 136.77. Middle-order Suryakumar Yadav has also not done too badly.

All-rounders

Andre Russell has been Kolkata's top all-rounder this season with 188 runs at a smashing strike rate of slightly below 165 and a total of 15 wickets in his kitty. Unfortunately, though, he has not played in his team's last two matches due to an injury and looks doubtful for the eliminator as well. Shakib Al Hasan's form with both bat and ball has been a worrying factor for the Knight Riders and they will be hoping the former Bangladesh skipper can come good when most needed.

Bowling

It has been quite a team effort by the KKR bowlers in the ongoing IPL season. While Russell has been their leading wicket-taker, leg-spinner Piyush Chawla has also been impressive with 11 wickets thus far. Sunil Narine looks to be getting back to form once again as he has claimed 11 wickets whilst conceding a miserly 7 runs per over. His best figures in the 2016 IPL of 3 for 26 helped Kolkata win their last league match against SRH and make it to the playoffs.

Umesh Yadav, who has not featured in the last few matches, but has also grabbed 10 wickets this year but has been a little expensive. Young Ankit Rajpoot has played just 4 matches and bowled decently whereas pacer Morne Morkel has managed to get 8 wickets in 9 matches. Shakib, meanwhile, has just 5 wickets in the tournament at an economy rate of just below 8.

Probable Playing XI:

Gautam Gambhir (c), Robin Uthappa (wk), Manish Pandey, Yusuf Pathan, Suryakumar Yadav, Shakib Al Hasan, Andre Russell/Chris Lynn, Piyush Chawla, Sunil Narine, Kuldeep Yadav, Morne Morkel.
