KKR got off to a flyer in the powerplay. Gambhir was in fine form and scored another half-century. Yusuf Pathan played a wonderful cameo at the end.
Mumbai Indians got off to a wobbly start. They lost Parthiv Patel early on. That didn’t matter, though. Ambati Rayudu and Rohit Sharma dominated the first six overs. Rohit Sharma scored his half-century in 36 balls and fired himself to the second spot in the leading run-scorers chart. He paced his innings beautifully and led from the front.
Pollard ripped Rajgopal Satish in the sixteenth over. That over went for twenty-three runs. Courtesy, three sixes from Pollard. Pollard destroyed J Unadkat as well. He scored a fifty in just seventeen balls. Supreme power hitting from Pollard. Pollard won the match for Mumbai Indians.

Mumbai Indians pulled it back really well after the powerplay. With Yusuf Pathan's power hitting in the last few overs, KKR put up 172 runs on the board.
Mitchell McClenaghan picked up the crucial wicket of Gautam Gambhir. He cemented his place as the leading wicket-taker with 12 wickets.
Sunil Narine was splendid. He took two wickets. One of them being Jos Buttler. Chris Lynn took a spectacular catch to dismiss Buttler.
RPS’s Ashok Dinda has the best bowling average of IPL 9. While Amit Mishra has the best bowling figures in an innings.
