IPL 2016: Highest/Most Run-Scorers, Leading Wicket-Takers after Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders (SRH vs KKR), Eliminator

The big game on 24 May 2016 saw the Royal Challengers Bangalore win that thrilling game and reach the finals of IPL 2016. On 25 May 2016, we had the all-important eliminator. Unlike Qualifier 1, the loser has to go home.

Kolkata Knight Riders beat Sunrisers Hyderabad both the times during the league stage and will be upbeat for this game as well. On the other hand, Sunrisers Hyderabad slipped in the last few games and approached this game with a fresh mind to come away victorious and move further in the playoffs.

Bipul Sharma got a game for Sunrisers Hyderabad. Ben Cutting made the spot over Kane Williamson and Eoin Morgan. Still no Andre Russell for Kolkata Knight Riders.

Sunrisers Hyderabad was rocked early, they lost Shikhar Dhawan in the second over. Henriques came up the order and built a decent partnership with David Warner. However, Sunrises Hyderabad lost two wickets in a single over. This rocked the boat again.

Yuvraj Singh and Deepak Hooda took charge. Hooda was run-out yet again. Yuvraj Singh scored 44 runs off 30 balls. He is starting to find his old form. Sunrisers Hyderabad put 162 runs on the board.

Kolkata Knight Riders was off to a wobbly start as well. KKR lost Robin Uthappa early. Gautam Gambhir could not last long at the crease. Kolkata Lost wickets at regular intervals. Manish Pandey looked dangerous but fell to Bhuvneshwar Kumar.

Kuldeep Yadav struck gold for Kolkata Knight Riders. He removed Moises Henriques and David Warner in a single over. Jason Holder and Morne Morkel picked up two wickets each.

Moises Henriques dismissed Yusuf Pathan for just two runs. This swung the momentum back in SRH’s favour. Overall, Henriques had a good game. He took two wickets.

Bhuvneshwar Kumar had a great game. He was excellent in the death overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Kolkata Knight Riders and move into Qualifier 2 to meet Gujarat Lions.
