Delhi Daredevils became the only team after Royal Challengers Bangalore to win a team after batting first in the Indian Premier League (IPL) as they defeated the Mumbai Indians by 10 runs at Feroz Shah Kotla. This was Mumbai's fourth loss of the IPL in six games and the campaign looks much like last season's campaign for the defending champions.

Sanju Samson continued his excellent form against Mumbai Indians as he top scored for the Daredevils with 60(48). He was ably supported by South African all-rounder JP Duminy who pitched in with a valuable 49.

In reply, Rohit Sharma continued his good batting form while batting second as he notched up his third fifty in a chase. Although Krunal Pandya showed good intent, he lost his wicket to a run-out that involved Mumbai captain, Rohit. Delhi bowled well in the death overs to hold on and win a thrilling encounter by 10 runs.
