In the last Indian Premier League (IPL) match to be held in Maharashtra, the Mumbai Indians took on the Rising Pune Supergiants at Pune. After Pune had won the first of the Maharashtra derbies, this match went the way of the Mumbai outfit as Rohit Sharma's chasing form continued.

After having been set a target of 160, the Mumbai captain played yet another sublime knock that took his side to their third consecutive win of the IPL. The win took the Mumbai Indians to the second spot while Pune remained rooted to the 6th spot.
