In the Indian Premier League (IPL) eliminator, Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) outsmarted two-time champions, Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) defeating them by 22 runs at Delhi to qualify for the Qualifier 2. SRH's middle-order that did not shine almost throughout the tournament came up with the goods as Moises Henriques, Yuvraj Singh and Deepak Hooda came up with useful knocks to help their side post a total of 162.

In reply, KKR looked comfortable when Gautam Gambhir and Colin Munro got going. However, SRH pulled things back and even picked up the wicket of dangerman, Yusuf Pathan early on. SRH will now face Gujarat Lions in the Friday's qualifier and will be hoping to make it to their first IPL final.
