Moody feels SRH need to play their best to secure the top spot on the points table

Sunrisers Hyderabad coach Tom Moody said that his team would not be taking Delhi Daredevils lightly as they have some "dangerous players" on their side. Table-toppers SRH will be facing the Zaheer Khan-led DD in Raipur tonight.

DD, who surprisingly had a good run in the beginning, have been struggling to win the last few games and have lost four out of five encounters. However, Moody said that SRH still need to be at their best to beat the Delhi-based team.

"Delhi is a very good side as they have defeated us on our home ground. We know they are a very good (and) competitive side with some dangerous players amongst them. We need to play our best game tomorrow to secure (the) winning points," he told the media during the pre-match press conference.

SRH, who have been heavily dependent on their openers this season have had skipper David Warner fire from the top, who has 567 runs from 12 innings. However, the team will be missing out on the services of their veteran bowler Ashish Nehra, though other pacers like Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Mustafizur Rahman have also been striking at the right time.

On being asked about Nehra, who has been ruled out of the rest of the tournament with a hamstring tendon injury, Moody said that they have a number of other options. "Left-arm seamer Barinder Sran can be brought in or any spin option," he former Australian cricketer added.

Nehra has played eight matches out of the 12 this season and has picked nine wickets with an economy of 7.65.

Moody also seemed optimistic about the team finishing among the top two on the points table. "It's important that we continue our momentum. The table's getting very competitive and we would like to finish off by winning our last couple of games and have ourselves in the top two teams."

The DD team, mentored by the legendary batsman Rahul Dravid this year, were standing on the second spot on the table before their continuous defeats. The team will be playing at their new home venue today and have no time to adapt to it, as this is a must-win for them.

They also have to win their next match against Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 22 by a substantial margin to make it to the playoffs. On the other hand, Sunrisers have won eight out of their 12 games and are currently leading the table with 16 points.
