South African fast bowler Dale Steyn has been going through a prolonged slump in form of late and has not been his usual self even in the World T20 2016. Debates have raged among experts about whether Steyn is still one of the foremost pacers in the world or if he has lost his potency with his persistent struggle for accuracy.
Steyn’s new IPL franchise the Gujarat Lions sit pretty on the top of the table right now having gone undefeated in the tournament so far. However, Steyn has not played a single game for his franchise and has been warming the bench since the start of the tournament.
But that did not deter Steyn from having some fun and playing cricket with children on the streets of Mumbai. The children appeared to be clearly ecstatic at the opportunity and Steyn seemed to be enjoying it as well as he broke into a joyous celebration after taking a wicket.
He later uploaded a video of that on his Instagram account with the caption, “Little bit of street cricket in Mumbai, my 1st wicket of the IPL.”
Steyn remains a key player in the Gujarat Lions ranks and his opportunity is sure to come later at some stage.
