KXIP has found a new opening pair in the form of Murali Vijay and Hashim Amla. These two players will likely open the innings for Kings XI Punjab. Marcus Stoinis will likely bat down the order. He has been consistent with both the bat and the ball. His best bowling figures came against Mumbai Indians in the last game. KXIP has struggled with the middle order and lower middle order.
Glenn Maxwell has been inconsistent this year. He went for a nought in his last game. David Millier had his first duck of IPL. That sums up Miller’s season so far. He is short on runs. Wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha scored a fifty in his last game. He will look to score some runs and provide much-needed middle order stability. David Warner and Shikhar Dhawan will open the innings for SRH. They will want to set up the platform for SRH’s middle order. Warner will take charge; while Dhawan will play the anchor role yet again. Expect another good opening partnership between these two.
An opening partnership is crucial to Sunrisers Hyderabad. SRH had problems with the middle order right throughout the tournament. The middle order crumbled in the previous game as well. Kane Williamson and Yuvraj Singh will hold the key. Williamson and Yuvraj Singh will look to play beautiful cameos in the back end of the innings.
Henriques, Hooda, and Ojha haven’t had a great IPL 9 so far. This will be a matter of concern for Sunrisers Hyderabad.
