Australian cricketer Mitchell Starc has been named among the 50 most dominant athletes alive in the world by Business Insider. The left-arm pacer is 31st on the list, ahead of the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Russell Westbrook and Lewis Hamilton.

Starc is the only cricketer on the list, which is led by UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey. Basketball superstar LeBron James and 19-time Grand Slam tennis champion Serena Williams find themselves second and third on the list respectively.

The highest placed non-American is Portuguese footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who is fourth, three places above his rival Lionel Messi. Usain Bolt, who holds the record for the fastest 100m sprint in history, is fifth.

Gymnasts Simone Biles and Katie Ledecky are the only teenagers in the top 10.

Starc has had a memorable 2015 so far. He was Australia’s most lethal weapon, en route to the Kangaroos claiming their fifth Cricket World Cup triumph in March. He picked up 22 wickets in the competition, which saw grab the Man of the Tournament award.

The 25-year-old has taken 34 ODI wickets since the turn of the year at an insane average of 12.35.
