Pakistani all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez is going to miss the third and final Test match against the Sri Lankan team as he is set to go on bowling action test in India. The bowler was reported for a suspect action during the first Test match itself at Galle.

Hafeez will be travelling to India for the test at International Cricket Council's (ICC) accredited testing centre in Chennai. According to the ICC's rule, a bowler is allowed to bowl until his bowling test results are declared. The off-spinner bowled 14 overs in the second Test which eventually Pakistan lost by seven wickets.

After a player is reported with a suspect action, he has 14 days to appear for his bowling action analysis test. If his elbow flex is found to be over the 15-degree permitted limit, he faces a one-year ban from bowling.

This is the second time that the 34-year-old bowler has been reported. Last year in November, he was found guilty for not following the same ICC's bowling guidelines. He started to bowl again only after he got a green signal from ICC following his bowling test in Chennai in April.

He has played 44 Tests, 161 One Day Internationals, and 62 Twenty20 matches for Pakistan. Being one of the most experienced player in the side, he will be missed during the final Test match which will be played at the Pallekele.

The series is levelled by 1-1 and both the teams will be looking to grab the series with the win in the last Test.
