Chennai Super Kings (CSK) are not only at the top in the Indian Premier League (IPL) table but also top Facebook fan following. World famous social media site has mapped the fans of all the IPL teams across India and it seems that the two-time IPL champions CSK are not only popular in their state but in other Indian states as well.

While most of the states supported their home team, only Delhi Daredevils were left out without any home support. As the people of Delhi seem to be supporting CSK's winning streak and Dhoni's charm. It could also be because Delhi have not had a good run at the IPL in quite a few seasons.

Apart from the home support, CSK almost gained 18 extra states’ aid on Facebook which definitely shows their popularity throughout India.

Facebook's Data Science team has created the map in which each district is coloured according to their favorite team’s colour. The database is also quite large - a Facebook press release added that from 1 April through 10 May, 26 million people had nearly 250 million Facebook interactions around IPL. Almost 200 million interactions were recorded among 19 million people in India.

So it would be safe to say that CSK are the most popular team in the IPL.
