New Zealand end Bangladesh tour with T20 win

Dhaka - New Zealand, who lost the ODI series to Bangladesh 0-3, managed a consolation win in the one-off T20 International at Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium here on Wednesday.

Batting first, the Black Caps set a target of 204 runs in their allocated 20 overs losing five wickets. Colin Munro, top scored with an unbeaten 73 and Anton Devcich contributed with 59 runs. The hosts fell short by 15 runs, ending at 189 for nine.

Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who watched the T20 match, handed over the trophy to New Zealand captain Kyle Mills.

Tim Southee took three wickets while Corey J. Anderson grabbed two wickets.

Bangladesh clinched a 3-0 whitewash of New Zealand in ODIs after a thrilling four-wicket victory in Sunday’s final match.

The two-match Test series between the Tigers and Black Caps was drawn 0-0.
