MS Dhoni, who is celebrating his 35th birthday today, had extra reason to cheer for on the special occasion with the makers of the wicketkeeper batsman's biopic titled “MS Dhoni: The Untold Story” choosing the day to release the official poster of the upcoming film. Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, who is donning the role of Dhoni in the movie, was one of the first to tweet about the release and also added a couple of posts paying tribute to India’s most successful skipper.
Wishes have been pouring in for Dhoni from teammates, past and present, as well as former cricketers and commentators alike, who have taken to social media to convey their wishes to Dhoni who is enjoying a well-deserved rest having retired from Test cricket in 2014. He may have divided opinions among the cricket-crazy fans of India having mellowed down from his swashbuckling style to a more composed finisher role but there’s doubting his immense contribution to Indian cricket.

No wonder then a movie is being made about the man who is still actively involved in cricket and whom many believe should be leading India into the 2019 ICC World Cup as well. The work on his biopic is progressing well and Rajput has been tweeting a lot about his training regime for the movie over the past few months. But today, it’s all about Dhoni and the actor acknowledged the same praising Dhoni no end.
Terming Dhoni as a selfless cricketer and an amazing person, Rajput said that observing the skipper closely has made him understand the role fitness plays in a sportsperson's life.

He followed it up with a small video Tweet where he lays emphasis on the importance of fitness.
The final tweet was undoubtedly the big one as Rajput revealed the official poster for the upcoming movie which showcases Dhoni’s rise from a modest background to becoming an Indian cricketer and ultimately the team’s skipper. Dhoni’s love story with wife Sakshi also finds a place in the storyline as well as the poster and there is no doubt that all cricket fans will be eagerly awaiting the movie which is set for release on September 2, 2016.
