Two years ban imposed on CSK and RR

In a sensational development, the Justice RM Lodha committee suspended India Cement's franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Jaipur franchise Rajasthan Royals (IPL) for a period of two years from Indian Premier League (IPL). However, the cricketers of both the respected teams are free to join any other IPL team.

Another big verdict of the day was given on Gurunath Meiyappan, a former team official of the CSK franchise, and Raj Kundra, a former co-owner of RR. They both have been banned by the RM Lodha Panel from any involvement in cricket matches for life.
