Kolkata, Nov 1 (IANS) Though eager to bowl against the famed Indian batting line-up that includes Sachin Tendulkar, West Indies left-arm spinner V. Permaul says patience is the key on the slow Indian wickets.

“Wickets here are flat and as a bowler you need to be patient and consistent and wait for the batsmen to make a mistake,” said Permaul after Day 2 of his side’s three-day warm up match against Uttar Pradesh at the Jadavpur University Ground here Friday.

Permaul, who took 2/61 and scored an enterprising 46 in the match, said he was looking forward to the challenging task of bowling against Indian batsmen in the two Test match series starting at the Eden Gardens Nov 6.

“It is definitely a challenge to bowl against Indians and I am looking forward to it. I don’t have any special delivery for Tendulkar but I am working on the arm ball and hopefully it goes out well,” said Permaul.

He also said his earlier stint with former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq will help him in adapting to the Indian conditions.

“We all know how great Saqlain is and there is so much to learn from him. I would also look to learn from Indian spinners,” added Permaul.
