Rahul Dravid: No idea about any conversation between Sachin Tendulkar and Greg Chappell

Sachin Tendulkar has revealed that former India coach Greg Chappell wanted Rahul Dravid to be removed as the Indian captain, months before the start of the 2007 World Cup and he wanted the Mumbaikar to lead the side in the Caribbean, in his upcoming autobiography Playing it My Way.

Dravid unaware of conversation

Speaking to ESPN Cricinfo, Dravid has responded by saying that he was unaware of any conversation between the two and wouldn't want to comment on the topic.

"I haven't really read the excerpts of that book. Also, I am not privy to any private conversation between two individuals. I have not heard about this before and I have no idea what happened and I would not want to make any comment," the 41-year-old said.

India were knocked out in the first round of 2007 World Cup and Dravid felt that a lot of water has flown under the bridge since that event.

"It's been a long time and it does not make much of a difference to me now," Dravid said.

Dravid looking forward to reading the book

On a positive note, the Bangalorean added that he was looking forward to reading the book, especially about the aspects that made Tendulkar the best batsman in the world.

"Not looking forward towards reading this, but yes anything that Sachin writes on batsmanship and things like what made him the best in the world. I am more interested in reading those parts," he said.
