Bengal were in a slightly advantageous position as they got rid of the Jammu and Kashmir top order on the second day of their Ranji Trophy match at the Eden Gardens here on Wednesday.

Responding to Bengal's first innings score of 387, Jammu and Kashmir were 183/5 when stumps were drawn.

Resuming at the overnight score of 312/7, the hosts were all out in the pre-lunch session. Century-maker Wriddhiman Saha was finally bowled by Parvez Rasool for 166.

For Jammu and Kashmir, Ian Dev Singh made good use of the willow to score 72.

In another match in Pune, Chirag Khurana and Shrikant Mundhe scored 82 and 60, respectively, to give Maharastra a lead of 4 runs against Rajasthan in the first innings.

Replying to Rajasthan's 270, Maharastra were reduced to 124/6 at one point, owing to superb bowling from Pankaj Singh and Deepak Chahar who bagged 3 wickets each.

Khurana and Mundhe then stood together to build a 130-run partnership for the seventh wicket, before Mundhe fell prey to Chahar. Khurana, however, was still batting on 82.
