Riding high on Sayan Mondal’s half century, and Sudip Chatterjee's brilliant run throughout the series, Bengal posted 191/4 against Assam in Guwahati on Day 1 of a ninth round game of the 2015 Ranji Trophy. Krishna Das chipped in with two wickets for Assam.

Odisha were bowled out for 151, and in reply, Rajasthan were 28/6, thereby on the verge of conceding a first innings lead.

As many as 21 wickets fell on the first day of the game.
