Royal Challengers Bangalore announce specific logistical initiatives for fan friendly experiences

In an endeavor to assist the city traffic police in providing smooth access to fans attending the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) games in the city, the event management team at Royal Challengers Bangalore today announced the following initiatives:

Demarcated Parking Areas

There are three specific demarcated parking areas, which have been identified for fans during all home games. These are:

• UB City at 24 Vittal Mallya Road
• St Joseph’s Indian High School at 23 Vittal Mallya Road
• Shivaji Nagar Bus Stand

Shuttle services to and from Chinnaswamy Stadium from these designated parking areas will be made available, three hours prior to the start of the game at 10-minute intervals, subject to favorable traffic conditions.

Partnership with Uber

Royal Challengers Bangalore, in a first, have partnered with Taxi aggregator service Uber, to allow fans easier access to the stadium, with a push of a button. New users to the Uber app could get 2 free rides up to Rs. 250 each through the whole season, while fans in the corporate stands can avail free rides to and fro all games as a value added service to the purchase of their tickets.

Ask Me Anything

There are 60 “Ask Me Anything” volunteers, attired in easy to recognize uniforms deployed at a distance of 30 feet around the stadium on match days to advice and direct fans about:

• Easy access to the specific stands in the stadium
• Ticketing queries
• Security Protocol
• Food & Merchandise Stalls
• Assistance with access to medical care
• Safety for women

The management team at RCB also encourages all fans arriving at the stadium to take specific note of the gates mentioned on their tickets, as that will provide them with the easiest access route to their stands.

Announcing these initiatives ahead of their home game on Sunday, Mr. Russell Adams, Vice President, Commercial Operations, Royal Challengers Bangalore, concluded: “We at Royal Challengers Bangalore are always looking at the best possible logistical assistance we can provide the fans arriving at the stadium an enjoyable and pleasant experience to and while at the game. We are thankful to the local police authorities for all their efforts in ensuring that the public attending these games are subject to a memorable viewing experience.”
