Sachin Tendulkar urges Mumbai to vote in large numbers ahead of Lok Sabha elections

Former Indian cricketer and Rajya Sabha MP Sachin Tendulkar has urged the people living in Mumbai to come out in huge numbers and cast their votes on April 24.

Polling for the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra takes place in three phases with the likes of Mumbai, Thane and Raigad going to polls on the 24th of April.

Tendulkar, who celebrates his 41st birthday tomorrow, posted a message on Facebook asking the people of Mumbai to cast their votes to make a difference.

“Every run counts in the game of cricket and every vote counts in an election. Don’t underestimate the power of your vote. In Mumbai to exercise my right. Hope you play your part – Please Cast your vote,” Tendulkar wrote.

The Indian cricketing legend has flown back home from Dubai, where he was performing his role as a mentor with the Mumbai Indians franchise in the seventh edition of the Indian Premier League(IPL).
