Sachin Tendulkar's portrait breaks Guinness world record

Sachin Tendulkar’s portrait being made in Navi Mumbai

A 3D art made from 10,000 coffee cups on the most celebrated cricketer in the history of the game – Sachin Tendulkar, broke the Guinness world record for the “largest coffee cup mosaic”.

Limnesh Augustine, a well known artist with the help of his team of artists called D Brain Enclave worked for 11 and a half hours on the 5th of July, when the ‘master blaster’ was in action against Rest of the World in MCC’s bicentenary celebrations match at Lord’s, to depict this art.

Inorbit mall, near Vashi Railway Station in Navi Mumbai, helped Augustine to make this world record possible. The 6 x 9.5 portrait (in meters) of Sachin Tendulkar was created using coffee cups with different milk proportions.

The previous record was held by a Hawaiian team in United States of America. 5,642 cups of coffee in 10 different shades were needed to make a 4.9 x 7.6 portrait (in meters) on the late American singer Elvis Presley.

This will be another feather in the cap for the ‘God of cricket,’ who owns numerous batting records in the game. Sachin Tendulkar is the leading run-getter in international cricket with more than 34000 runs and 100 centuries.
