Bangladesh fast bowler Shahadat Hossain has been ruled out of action for the next six months because of an injury he suffered during Pakistan’s first innings during the ongoing Test match. He twisted his right knee during the lunch break when he came to practice since he was not allowed to bowl until then. He fell over after the very first ball of the first innings which forced him to go off the field.

Shahadat was picked for this match only because of the injury sustained by Rubel Hossain. He will now be having a surgery which will rule him out for the next six months, a period during which his team will be involved in plenty of action. Bangladesh will have to finish the match with one seamer and three spinners and with a daunting task ahead of them (trailing by 450 runs with five wickets left), their bowlers may not have to bowl again.
