The Delhi Police have busted another group of bookies, assuring that more cricketers will be arrested in the coming days, and raised questions regarding the match played between Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in Ranchi on May 12.

“Based on Ajit Chandila’s interrogation, we are now probing whether an entire match — one played between the Kolkata Knight Riders and the Royal Challengers Bangalore on May 12 — was fixed,” said an officer.

Bhupinder Nagar, who is a security manager of a night club, and his associate Vicky, a bouncer at another club, were arrested by the Delhi Police. Three bookies, identified as Vicky Chaudhary and his associates Nitin Jain, who runs a gift shop, and Monu Sharma, a small-time businessman, were also arrested after the interrogation of Bhupender Singh Nagar.

However, the police insisted that their assumptions were based purely on Chandila’s allegation and they didn’t have any proof regarding the same. The match was won by Kolkata Knight Riders by four wickets.
