Stafanie Taylor becomes first cricketer to be ranked No. 1 in ICC ODI rankings for both batting and bowling

22-year-old West Indian all-rounder Stafanie Taylor has become the first player, either male or female to hold the No. 1 spot in ICC rankings for both batting and bowling at the same time in international limited overs cricket.

Taylor currently holds the top position in the batting, bowling and all-rounder rankings.

She was named West Indies’ Women’s Cricketer of the Year by West Indies Cricket Board earlier this year in July. She also won the ICC Women’s ODI Cricketer of the Year award last year.

In the last match of the recently concluded ODI series against New Zealand, Taylor scored 135 in her side’s total of 238 and then proceeded to take 4 wickets to skittle the opposition out for a mere 143, winning her team the series 2-1.

She bats right-handed and bowls right-arm off-break. In 67 ODIs so far for West Indies, she has made 2626 runs at an average of 45.27, scoring 5 centuries and 16 half-centuries in the process. She has also taken 91 wickets at an average of 16.30.
