Stats: Fastest centuries in Twenty20 matches

Chris Gayle playing for RCB in IPL

Here is a list of 10 fastest hundreds in the history of T20 cricket. The 30-ball 100 by West Indian opener Chris Gayle for his IPL franchise Royal Challengers Bangalore in the sixth edition of the Indian Premier League against Pune Warriors occupies the first spot.

Not to be forgotten, Gayle further went on to score 75 runs, ending up with an unbeaten 66-ball 175. The 34-year-old beat former Australian all-rounder Andrew Symonds’ 9-year-old record of 34-ball century against English county side Middlesex back in 2004.

The only Indian player who finds himself in the list is Yusuf Pathan, whose 37-ball century against Mumbai Indians in a losing cause is at the joint 4th spot.
