Gary Ballance has joined Andrew Strauss and Jonathan Trott to become only the third cricketer to score 2 centuries in first two Test matches at the venue. The Zimbabwean-born scored 104* against Sri Lanka earlier this year before recording his second: 110 v India in the ongoing Test match.

Trott has scores of 226 and 184 in his first two matches at the venue, against Bangladesh and Sri Lanka respectively, while former England captain Strauss registered scores of 112 and 137 against New Zealand and West Indies respectively in 2004.
