Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL 2016, Live Cricket Streaming Online : Where to watch, TV Telecast info of SRH vs KKR on Hotstar.com

Skipper David Warner will be looking to continue his belligerent form

After receiving a severe battering from the Royal Challengers Bangalore in their first game of the season, an injury plagued Sunrisers Hyderabad will take on a bruised Kolkata Knight Riders squad for match no. 8 of VIVO IPL 2016 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Hyderabad.

Yuvraj Singh was ruled out even before the Sunrisers campaign started with an ankle injury, while Kane Williamson reported to practice with a groin injury. In SRH’s first match against RCB, Yuvraj SIngh’s absence from the squad was undoubtedly felt during the match, with none of the other men in the squad able to substitute the experience and quality Yuvraj provides. Mustafizur Rahman was the only one prudent with the ball in hand, with all other bowlers getting hammered all over the park. Ashish Nehra’s pull-out mid-way through his 4 overs did not help SRH’s cause either, with his replacement Ashish Reddy going for plenty.

Given a massive target to surpass, David Warner was the only glimmer of hope for the Sunrisers. Although he got them off to a great start, once he was snared by Watson, the innings came crashing down. None of the other batsmen could really find their feet to get going, apart from Ashish Reddy who provided some late fireworks, which did not prevent RCB from claiming their first win this IPL.

Kolkata on the other hand would be crushed from their first loss to defending champions Mumbai Indians. After getting off to a good start batting first, Kolkata would have been dissappointed, ending up with just 187 even after two fifties from Gambhir, Pandey and some pyrotechnics from Andre Russell at the end. However, even with this score on the board Kolkata would have backed themselves after their first match against DD, where they put on a spirited bowling performance.

It was not to be, as even that big a total proved insufficient against a sanguine Mumbai batting order led by Rohit Sharma, who showed his class to take his team to victory with a well-crafted 84* getting able assistance from England-recruit Jos Buttler and Mitchell McClenaghan, both who played aggressively to ensure the run-rate never went out of reach.

Both the teams will be looking to play with assertiveness, and get their campaigns back on track.

Team News:

Sunrisers Hyderabad Squad :

After a heart-wrenching defeat at the hands of the Royal Challengers Bangalore, the Sunrisers will be looking to bounce back strong. They will however be without the services of lead seamer Ashish Nehra, who pulled out during his third over against RCB, and will be missing him for a minimum of the next two games. However, the Sunrisers have almost a battalion of seamers in their squad, with the likes of Trent Boult, India pacer Brainder Sran warming the benches.

WIth Sran having performed decently well for India against Australia, he could be well given his first game of the season, to complement Mustafizur Rahman in the attack.

With only David Warner finding his feet and sending the bowlers on a leather hunt last game, Sunrisers will want a few more of their top order batsmen to take responsibility and contribute to the scorecard. If Shikhar Dhawan can find his form, then Sunrisers can be assured of a good total on the board.

Kolkata Knight Riders Squad :

With Sunil Narine likely to get a look-in to add teeth into the bowling line-up, it will be interesting to see who warms the bench. While Munro has not had a big role to play, he could be the one who would warm the bench and make place for Narine. With the experienced spin trio of Chawla, Hogg and Narine likely to make the XI, it would be that Kuldeep Yadav would sit out, with Umesh Yadav making the squad after sitting out in the last game.

While the KKR top order have been in great form with Russell showing his power, the middle-order will be the key factor to look out for. Untested this season, it will be engaging to see how the middle-order plays into the situation.
