You don’t often see a number 11 batsman scoring much in a match, leave alone top scoring in an entire innings of a Test match. There are only 9 instances of such an event happening in the history of Test cricket, with the most recent being Australia’s Ashton Agar scoring a counter-attacking 98 off 101 balls before being dismissed caught at the midwicket boundary miscuing a pull off the bowling of England pace bowler Stuart Broad in an Ashes Test match last year.
