Both the Pakistani players have created enough furore in the past with their off-field antics

Pakistani international Umar Akmal was reportedly involved in a brawl at a theatre in Faisalabad after he demanded a song to be replayed. The administration’s reluctance to oblige resulted in the fight.

Things calmed down when he was forced to leave the hall after the audience recognised him as a Pakistani International Cricketer.

According to Geo News, Akmal was accompanied by cricketers Awais Zia, Bilawal Bhatti, Mohammad Nawaz and Shahid Yousuf, but these claims were later denied by the right-handed batsman.

“I would request for my privacy to be respected,” Akmal told reporters. “If I am breaking any law then the government reserves the right to arrest me,” he added. The 25-year-old also urged the media to judge him only on his performances on the field.

“It’s my personal life and I went to watch theatre alone. I went to watch a drama for entertainment; it is not a bad thing to do…it is my request that a cricketer’s private life should not be highlighted,” he said.

The Pakistan Cricket Board’s (PCB) department of security and vigilance have decided to inspect the incident.

Ahmed Shehzad’s aggression lands him into trouble

In another incident, Ahmed Shehzad was roped into a controversy for his inappropriate behaviour during a Pakistan Cup Match on Sunday. He reportedly smashed the dressing room’s window to vent his anger after failing to score a century against Balochistan.

Shehzad even had an argument with the on-field umpire when he was given out on 79, saying it might not have been a clean catch. He took to Twitter to express his disappointment with things being blown out of proportion.

Shehzad’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were playing against Azhar Ali’s Balochistan at the Iqbal Stadium in Faisalabad and they comprehensively won the match by 74 runs.
