The first Test between Pakistan and New Zealand in Abu Dhabi saw 22-year-old Ahmed Shehzad getting dismissed hit wicket in a very strange manner. The Pakistan opening batsman attempted to pull a short delivery from Corey Anderson but got it all wrong and was hit on the head before losing his grip on the bat. The bat went on to hit the stumps and a marvellous innings of 176 came to an end.
Shehzad was down in pain following the incident and physios were on hand to help him recover. Later in the day, it was confirmed that he is suffering from a minor skull fracture. Watch the incident below:
